Cake or Death?

I guess I should update this. @ 04:50 pm

I just noticed that my last entry on this thing was in January of 2005, so I guess I better update this more periodically, especially with the influx of new users. I don't want my account deleted for inactivity (if that's even possible)!

So, in short...hi, everybody!

The only thing I'm involved with these days that even remotely counts as fandom is all-female, flat-track roller derby (first as a skater, but now as a jeerleader). That's about it.

It's fitting that LJ died (from coke) the weekend it got fucking freezing and decided to snow here. (Not to mention--recovering from a cold/sinus thingy!) Talk about Murphy's Law.

Meanwhile, I am waiting for the conspiracy theorists to wank about this one. It'll be a feast--er, wank--for the ages.

First celebrity endorsement! (Sort of) @ 03:30 pm

Chris Murphy of the band Sloan things "Now he dead from coke" is funny.

(Well, "Now they dead from coke", to be more specifc.)

That is all.

Um...WTF? @ 02:29 pm

Current Mood: OMGWTF

No, seriously. What the fuck? And explain in thirty words or less. I'm on painkillers here.

This just in! @ 11:54 pm

Current Mood: annoyed

My dad is the world's biggest Lance Armstrong fangirl.

That is all.

Drugs are bad, mmm'kay? @ 11:02 pm

Current Mood: *thud*

I knew Ryan Adams was an asshole before, but damn! I guess we now know what too much hash (and booze and whatever the fuck else) can do to you. I wonder when I'll be able to use a "Now he dead from coke" icon on him for real.

He + Courtney Love= OTP!

Wow, she's actually posting! @ 09:06 pm

Current Mood: uncomfortable

As you (you two or three who read this) have probably noticed, I never post in here. However, the following matter would go over the heads of most of the people on my LJ friends list (not because I think they're stupid--which I don't--but because most wouldn't know what's going on), I'm posting it in here.

That having been said, here's why I'm posting in this thing:

Okay, I have had it with this bullshit. Since when did trolling become cool? One of the reasons I joined f_w in the first place was due to how they didn't mock me for asking, say, what "OOC" or "OTP" meant and were rather easygoing--and ready to mock those who deserved it.

As for this [info]fw_deathmatch crap, I could care less. I didn't even know I was chosen to be in it until wizzard told me about it (see what missing one day at f_w can do)? I cared even less when I didn't win. Wasn't this all supposed to be a mockery of all the other craptastic fen deathmatches, anyway? Since when did it go from fun to "I know you are, but what am I?" and "U SUX0R!!!111!!111" I thought we were all supposed to be somewhat adult in all this.

Right now, I feel like the only one who doesn't give a rat's ass about this whole thing. It's too much petty bullshit, anyway.

(Not that I'll stop going to and commenting at f_w--unless this becomes the norm rather than the exception. But that's another story.)

What to do with this thing. @ 11:12 pm

I really hate to leave this in the dust, given how much work TPTB have put into JournalFen. But fear not! For I have figured out a use for this thing!

I've always wanted to write fanfic, but I, for some reason, have never gotten around to it. Call it the Procrastinator's Disease, if you will. I've finally written some, and I plan on posting it on here as I write it. However, for the sake of, well...workshopping (because that's what I plan on doing with this thing, fic-wise), this will now be friends-only. If you would like to be added, feel free to comment.

Just a note--I probably won't post anything until I get through with finals, meaning that you'll have to wait another week before I post anything. I promise no Mary Sues!

And that's that.
