So I finally read The Last Days of Socrates.
It reads to me like Socrates would have been featured on fandom_wank at least as often as conuly.
Maybe it's just the translation I have, though. The religious prostelytizing in the introduction and the random personal opinions interjected by the translator into the endnotes do not give me heaps and heaps of confidence in my cheap, elderly, beer-stained Penguin edition. |
