My car broke down right before an intersection yesterday. I had always been afraid of breaking down like that, but when it actually happened, well -- it wasn't that bad. Actually, it was... kind of lucky that my car cut out when it did.

I had changed lanes early, so I was in the leftmost turn lane rather than in the middle of the street. Also, I could have stalled out on 495 if it had happened during my commute (can you spell NIGHTMARE?). Instead, it happened in Howard County, MD, home of the we're-so-filthy-upper-middle- class-our-policemen- have-nothing-to-do crowd, so a police car arrived pretty much IN TWO MINUTES. Also, the nice officer even tried to give my car a jump start and let me use her cell phone to call my mom (zomg thanks mom).

So I'm out $120 for the tow truck and $270 for the fix, but... coulda been worse! Also, they took care of the oil change while my car was at the shop, so FREE WEEKEND WHOOOO.

Sigh.. guess I'm lucky I have a job to pay for this, huh?

On an unrelated note, uh... bought Radiant Dawn today, though I can't play it till I finish PoR and that WHORE OF A BLACK KNIGHT. Argh.

I did, however, take a look at the manual, and Sothe... uh... WOW HE GOT REALLY HOT that certainly is a midrifftastic outfit.

Also: My quarter-life crisis continues.

You will come to hate Sothe, or at least want to give him ten quality minutes with a cluebat. I found him genuinely annoying for large portions of RD, especially when he proved to have absolutely zero endgame usefulness. You will also come to hate what they did to the support system.

On the other hand, The Haar and Nephenee can be elevated to levels of power that go beyond anything you could possibly dream of in PoR, and when you finally, finally get Ike and Soren you will likely do a little jig.

Or, if you are like me, Sothe will not bother you so much as his NERFED STAT CAPS DO.

I might be a little too familiar with these games okay.

You know, when I introduced you to PoR, I had no concept of what I was unleashing on the world.

Ha. When you introduced me to FE7 way before that, and I saw Erk and clapped like a seal, I'm pretty sure you said something to the effect of "this is why you can't have nice things" and I didn't play again until I um rescued my own copy from gypsies.

Well, you do kind of play obsessively every chance you get. I mean, you beat PoR more times in four months than I did in four years.

But Sothe was cool in PoR :(

Except for that one time he died in the map before the Black Knight so I DIDN\'T ACTUALLY EVEN GET TO GET KILLED BY THE BLACK KNIGHT FFFFFFFF

I really wish that video game designers would quit holding out on me and put the returning characters I like at the beginning and not the end. I spent like an ENTIRE Phoenix Wright game going, \"WHERE IS EDGEWORTH\" and okay when he did show up it was awesome but WHERE IS EDGEWORTH.

I would like Tibarn to come back. I liked him. Also, Reyson. Nisala can take a walk with his stupid seme self.

ALSO GEOFFREY

Oh, pretty much everyone shows up eventually, and even in the very first part of the game you will see one or two familiar faces (aside from Sothe, of course). Really you start getting people you know back around Chapter 2, but it's not until Chapter 3 that you really have the merry old band of asskickers at your disposal.
