Yesterday I went to sleep at 6:30 PM (the combination of Disgaea and lying down, for some reason, puts me to sleep whenever it's inconvenient).

I got up (having woken up several times during the night; for some reason, I do that now), at 5:00AM. Which, with the new shiny hour, is now 4:00AM. I could have slept more, though. Yeah, I don't know what my problem is.

The platys, who I will call the Big Spaceship Gang because they are not big or spaceships, are no longer afraid of me! Yay! I guess the fact that the appearance of a giant floating head staring at them now means possible food, instead of being scooped up in a net and being dunked into a bucket or something. Or being terrorized and then run over by ghostly wheelchairs. They are SO CUTE when you net them, though. And they'll try and get away from you, but then they don't want to leave the net. Squirmy platys!

So, here's my thing about work: I like having money and all, and this job is way less stressful than my last job. Save, I suppose, for the part where I must rely on other people to get me the information that I need rather than doing it all by myself. Developers will IGNORE questions you send them in email, seriously. You basically have to ask them ONE QUESTION per email so there's no way they can POSSIBLY weasel around answering you but I'm getting off track.

Anyway, it's less stressful than my last job, but I can't say it's great. I don't feel particularly attached to it. But I guess that's what work is supposed to be like? Tolerable? It's really weird for me to spend eight hours a day doing something I don't either really like or dislike.

I had a dream last night, and I can't remember all of it, but part of it took place at a swimming-pool-turned-ice rink. It was cold and I was skating around and around as the ice melted and eventually I was swimming in blue-green water. Later I was one of three sisters whose family had once owned a grand castle that had turned rickety and was prey to looters and thieves. We were on the run, so we tried to pack as many essentials as we could before driving away in a minivan.

Yesterday I cleaned (and by cleaned, I mean shoved a bunch of stuff in the closet). Whoever designed my apartment was kind of a retard. Don't have closets or do, but don't make them so shallow they're nearly pointless anyway. I have a bathroom linen closet that's maybe a foot or a foot and a half deep and a pantry in which the support struts prevent me from using a full half of all shelf space. It would anyway, though, cause the doors are all the way to the right, so you'd have to have some long arms to reach all the way over to the left.

My roommate has an apartment about the same size, but hers looks bigger because half the space isn't taken up with pointless storage. Well, that and I have tons of crap.

I'm not kidding about the crap, by the way. I have tons.

"The platys, who I will call the Big Spaceship Gang because they are not big or spaceships,"

I heartily approve of this logic and this nickname. XD

...Wait, is the big spaceship gang by any chance a reference to Invader ZIM? ("Our big... spaceship... gang." "You mean armada?") Because if so, then it's even more awesome.

Sorry to hear that you're having problems with work. Here's hoping it gets better!

It is a ZIM reference!

Well, actually, I&apose;m just one of those people who is happy when they complain or rant about things. The work thing is actually better than my last job (way, way better), it\'s just... I dunno. If this is what you\'re supposed to do with your life, how disappointing.

Rock on! Man, I used to be so obsessed with that show back in the day. I haven't watched it in foreeeever though, I've since moved on to other animated shows. Mainly Avatar: The Last Airbender (duh, see icon), but also Code Geass a little bit thanks to my BF. Next he wants to get me into Gurren Lagann (that may or may not be spelled correctly).

(Also, I'm now imagining a fish tank full of tiny spaceships zooming about.)
