At this point, I let loose a loud "BAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA", and quit the team. God save us from pretty pretty prima donna tanks. I'm gonna put my humility and everything else aside here, and say this:

I am the one of the best damn CoH kineticists you have ever seen. I keep speed boost (a massively amazing buff that only lasts for two minutes, mind you) on all seven teammates, all the time. I regularly buff damage output to the cap (300-400%). I triple stack speed buffs on myself, slot my buffs to give my teammates maximum endurance recovery, and often act as the primary healer in addition to any secondary attacks I put out, attacks I obtain based on how greatly they help the team (reducing enemy defense, damage resistance).

I will religiously support and follow the tank so that he doesn't so much as have to wipe his ass by himself. I will even track down morons who can't stay with the group and save their ass, as long as the rest of the group is not harmed by my doing so.

And I do not, repeat, do NOT like being told what to do.

I especially do not like being told what to do by players I deem inferior, and that may sound arrogant and like I have a bazillion control issues (it is and I do), but goddammit, I pour all my efforts into supporting the damn team and if we're dying, it's not because I'm not trying my damnedest to keep everyone alive, it's because some moron is taking time off from doing his job to tell ME to do what I'm already doing: HEALING.

There is no Correct Way to play the game. If you play by ironclad rules like Thou Must Have Always Have an Empath and Thou Must Never Suffer a Blaster to Stay in Melee and All Kineticists Must Wait Until the Tank Gives Him Permission to Start Buffing Upon Pain of Death, you are a moron. Playing rules, which are actually playing guidelines, were invented because they keep your average player schlub safe.

If I am (a) not dying, (b) not even getting down to 80% HP loss, and (c) personally making sure you, Prima Donna Tank(TM) gets all the damage buff mob whore attention, You are doing no one a favor by ordering me to back down. Except maybe your own overinflated sense of self-importance, but he doesn't show up on the team roster. Moreover, if you think your status as Prettiest Princess of Them All allows you to order around people PLAYING A GAME like you're hot shit WHILE typing like a fucking Neanderthal AOL tween AND spewing shitty police procedural cliches, I think you need to be fucked with something hard and sandpapery.
