| I really, truly believe the Doctor takes companions because the universe gets so old without new perspective. I think that Rose reminds him that there is more than one way of looking at a situation. Martha, bless her, didn't really do that. She didn't challenge him at all. John Smith asks, in Family of Blood, what it is she actually does for him, and she can't answer. Rose is a challenge. THAT's why they need to be together! [swoon!!] Martha? Didn't challenge the Doctor? You mean she didn't ask questions at every turn about what's going on? Didn't force him to answer her questions about Gallifrey? | I would want her to stay with the Doctor forever!! However, it's doubtful. An idea I had would be that since the Doctor is immortal, he could stay with Rose until her human life is completed. This way they could both be happy. I don't exactly know what The Doctor would do after she died. In my opinion, anything but Rose in love with someone else or over The Doctor. NO, DAMNIT. You make me ashamed to be Rosefen. Fuck. So many things wrong with what she said . . . I do not have an angry icon, so here's Watari drinking tea LIKE A REAL MAN. | Steven Moffat to succeed Davies as Executive Producer Mr Moffat is going to have to do one or two of the following things if he's to show he's a better EP than Rusty (and, in that regard, fix Rusty's errors with canon, etc.) 1. For the love of Rassilon, no more Rose. No more mentions of her, no more images of her. Yes, we get it, she's gone and the Doctor looooves her. Good job ruining a good thing and turning the Doctor away from an awesome companion (Martha) to wallow in his own self-pity. No Rose, got it? 2. For once, can we get more than one person traveling with the Doctor on a regular basis? Captain Jack got fried by Daleks, Mickey shunted off into a parallel universe so he wouldn't be the tin dog anymore. Adam pushed back home 'cos he screwed up one time. Would it be too much to have a regular TARDIS crew of three? 3. And how about more companions that don't fall in love with the Doctor? Like Donna (well, maybe she is) or Mickey or Adam. It's possible to travel in the good ship TARDIS without becoming romantic with the captain. 4. MOAR ALIEN PLANETS. The Ood planet was gorgeous. Why did you wait until Series 4 to do it? Honestly, not even the Third Doctor had so many Earth-bound adventures. 5. Bring back Eccleston for a Two Doctors episode? Pleaaase? And follow through with the 7-8-9-10 episode rumors? That would be rather awesome. Wouldn't it be lovely if Mr Moffett did just one of these things? God knows I'd be a lot happier. | ||||||||||||
