7:47 pm - Friday Night And The Mood Is Right For Sleeping

I feel like I've been running a marathon for weeks now. I just have this constant feeling of getting things done only to have more things to get done or accomplishing only small parts of long term projects. I've passed the point of being bothered by it and am stuck in a state of pure not giving a damn. We had a major, near disastrous emergency at work this morning and we've all gotten so used to them that no one even panicked.
I did find time to set up a page at The Directorium. I think I'm going to use it as my user info for my non LJ journals and just put a link to it on those journals. I still don't know exactly what I plan to do about all the whole LJ situation. The fandom stuff is one issue that I'm still very torn over. The comments made in support of Pro Eating Disorder communities is another and I don't know if I can give a site money if they feel that way. I'm not deleting my journal or completely abandoning ship but I have some tough decisions to make regarding my 4 paid accounts.
Tonight I plan to do as little as possible. I have a busy weekend/week ahead of me and tonight is all about me relaxing. The good news is I'm barely working this week. I have to work Sunday night, Tuesday night and Wednesday and then I have Monday off, Tuesday morning off and I took Thursday through next Tuesday off for the wedding and to get my car fixed. Work has been informed that I will not be reachable by cellphone or email during that time. Let's see if they actually pay attention.

I was writing an email to a friend to alert her of LJ being down and instead of writing Power outages as the cause I wrote Potter outages by accident. Guess I'm still holding out hope for the Potterdammerung that really wasn't (or isn't yet).

Actually I do check my friends page several times a day. I just never post here. My userinfo and icons hadn't been changed since 2004. Have updated everything and will hopefully be buying a paid account when I get paid tomorrow.
Robust servers = happy me.
Having LJ, GJ and JF all acting funky right now = bored and pissy me.

So I'm at work, looking at Oscar pictures and I stumble on some pictures of Elijah and Dom on the red carpet with my coworker looking over my shoulder.
Coworker: Are they going out?
Me: Huh? Who? Those two?
Coworker: Yes. I think they're going out.
Me: *trying not to laugh* Well...not really.
Coworker: They were always together. At one point they were holding hands.
Me: *laughing so hard* Well, there are people on the internet who think they are. They might be, maybe.
Coworker: No, they are. I think they're gay.
Me: Okay *laughing to the point of tears streaming down my cheeks*
The tinhats are officially everywhere.

So my roommate made me a copy of this folk CD by an artist named Rebecca Hart. And there's a song on it called "Powers That Be" and from the title down to just about every lyric it would make an amazing "Angel" video. Unfortunetly I have neither the software nor the knowledge to make such a video.

LJ is being an assface and I like my icons over here better anyway. Ergo, I'm posting.
Posting about what I couldn't tell you other then life is blah, getting my website back up is kicking my ass and I'm moving out in two weeks and haven't begun to pack. In fact one of my roommates is still decorating. I think we're in some serious denial.
Oh and Angel has been renewed! Woohoo!

So I went home today to visit my dad who's on leave for the next few days. Mom and I got into a discussion on celebrities and the war and I somehow got into certain people not liking Sean Astin because they think he's pro war and ultra conservative and blah, blah, blah. This of course led to trying to explain the whole Domlijah, DL, PR Devil debate.
Bottom line: It makes even less sense when spoken about aloud.

11:13 pm - Sarah and I Continue To Find The Gay Everywhere

Sarah is a high school history teacher and often brings home videos to screen before showing them to her students. A few days ago she brought home the A&E Biography on Lewis and Clark.
Narrator: talks about how Lewis worked for President Jefferson and how Jefferson placed a high amount of trust in him. blabs on about how Lewis and Clark worked well together in spite of being total opposites. Clark was friendly, Lewis was taciturn, Clark was married twice, Lewis was unlucky in love.
Me:Poor Lewis, he seems quite attractive from his portrait.
Sarah:Maybe he was an unpleasant man to date.
Me: Maybe he was secretly in love with Jefferson.
Sarah: Yeah and Jefferson was too busy with his illicet affairs to notice.
Me: Poor Lewis.

S- Does it involve kissing?
Me- (after hysterical laughing fit) Not the version they told us about.

Have uploaded icons and created a community (lotr_slash). Journal Fen is actually making me feel like a productive person.
It's not like any of this has to do with the fact that it is 9:30 and I am NOT watching Angel as I am the best roommate in the whole world and am actually waiting for my two roomies to come home around 11:30 before I watch it.
