When I filled out the friending memes earlier this month, I couldn't think of any fic recs off the top of my head, but I've come back with them now. These stories were my therapy after Deathly Hallows. Seriously, they have helped me grieve properly - if you need closure, read these.

Four short scenes, so far. They sort of go in order, but I think they can stand independently as well. Story Info taken directly from the original posts.

TITLE: End of the Line
RATING/WARNINGS: Gen, spoilers (obviously) Humour/angst.
PAIRING(S): None, really.
SUMMARY: "Hell was, Snape decided, a crowded railway platform."
DISCLAIMER: Don't own Harry Potter, and Death probably owes a certain amount to Terry Pratchett, at least insofar as he TALKS LIKE THIS.

TITLE: Mischief Managed
RATING/WARNINGS: Gen, spoilers (obviously) Humour/angst.
PAIRING(S): None, really.
SUMMARY: "No." Fred shook his head, "I'll wait. He'll come."

TITLE: The Station Clock Said 12
RATING/WARNINGS: Gen, spoilers (obviously) Humour/angst.
PAIRING(S): Tonks / Lupin
SUMMARY: The two boys at the edge of the platform had been annoying the Guard for quite some time now. It was the way of teenage boys, he supposed, to be loud and irritating. He just wished they wouldn't do it in his station.

TITLE: Ticket to Ride
RATING/WARNINGS: Gen, spoilers for DH (obviously) Humour/angst.
PAIRING(S): None
SUMMARY:
The Guard had had to deal with many issues in the past – the lost, the confused, the angry and trains never arriving on time. A station guard’s life was never a quiet one, especially at this platform.

A rat in the vending machine however, was a whole new issue.

DISCLAIMER: Don't own Harry Potter, and Death probably owes a certain amount to Terry Pratchett, at least insofar as he TALKS LIKE THIS. Hogfather also managed to inspire a sentence at the end. For this one, I also don't own Death of Rats or the raven

10:11 pm - Seriously?
Dude, artificial life?

Bring on the made-for-tv disaster sci-fi flicks. And make sure there's a religious voice condemning them for 'playing God' while you're at it.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Brought to you by rip_67 on LJ; more here!

And now, my computer is running so slowly that I must close at least 39 billion of the 40 billion tabs I have open. Thus, a link-list for later.

Nothing to see here, unless you want to know where my OCD tendencies have me hunting for icons. )

10:12 pm - My meme turn!
THE RULES:
1. Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your favorite lyric to your current favorite song. Or your favorite kind of sandwich. Or your favorite breed of tropical fish/kind of bug/breed of dog. Something random. Whatever you like.
2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. Include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be asked, you will ask them five questions.

If you've already done this and don't want any more questions, feel free to say that.

4:29 pm - I'm back - did you miss me?
Okay, back from a weekend at Cedar Point. How is it that I spent ten days in Florida in July and barely got a tan, but a day and a half in Northern Ohio gets me a lobsteresque sunburn? (And yes, it does hurt, thank you very much!) Cedar Point was awesome, though. I can't believe I've never been there. I even went on several roller coasters that went upside down (see - I am not nearly as much of a coaster wimp as I used to be), though I would have to say that the Raptor was my favorite.

Now I have to finish going through both of the friending memes, answer some comments, get caught up on two (2) flists, and get me some new icons. Mmmm, new icons. I've decided for my JF account to try and go from scratch - I could just copy over all 138 of my LJ icons and go from there, but I feel like I want a fresh start at JF.

After that, I really should pick out some music I am actually capable of playing for a wedding on Saturday. Yes, it would have been nice to know about it more than 9 days before the event, but it's my brother's best friend's sister, and I let the mother guilt me into it because I apparently still suck at saying no. At least it's $100.

4:29 pm - ha-ha! (but say it like Nelson)
Best thing yet: LJOPOLY!

I especially enjoy "Go to LJ Abuse" and the fact that LJ abuse says "Account Suspended - Just Deleted"
