I planned to post this earlier....

oh, well.

So. Happy birthday to me. (It was yesterday.)

I'm 25 now. A nice square number.

I decided to do something special and spend it hanging around with one of my oldest online friends. Perhaps the oldest friend, period. Sad thought, that.

The computer I'm using to post with is... rather different than what I'm used to.

But anyway! yeah, I'm fine. Doing well.

I spent most of Monday and Thursday and all of Tuesday and Wednesday on a train across the US. It was a nice, quiet journey and I saw lots of neat scenery. I was cursing myself for not having thought to bring along a camera of some sort. Next time, I'll remember and spend a lot of time on the return trip taking pictures and writing comments on the things I see. I even met some very nice people on the train and got along with them famously. Rare for me - at least, offline. Unfortunately, I did not get to shower for three motherfucking days.

Still, I find the train to be eminently agreeable, and I entirely plan on taking it across the US again. This, of course, limits my continental travels more than taking the plane would. I'd probably be able to do this only once a year. Maybe.

I must say, I don't find that especially tragic.

(crossposted this to my LJ account hours earlier)

They're pretty harsh, after all.

ps, I like this kind of man. Then, the mysterious Greenleaf from the secretive Greenwood colony appears and helps him remember. 1xR[1] Lx2

[1] - Inside would be an explanation riddled with "Gomen!
