On http://hhr.celebrityhost.net/news/?p=20 -- the poster called "Faye" (only a little down the page) gives an admirable example of not being able to type (although she may not be English -- but her name suggests it) or reason. There are several posts. A few gems: R/hr, I thought they have old “tension” and “agruement” from book 2 and it is also “emotionless” and it doesn’t go or do “anything” H/hr: Is me? in this boook, these two have “Real Sexual Tension” or “Romance” then past books, and I really love how two have these “Heat disscussion” more then book 5. It seem like they that “Passion” for each other, even more so. Forget “anvil-sized clues”. Forget authorial intent. JKR said she hates calling the books “the property”, so she’d better step up to the plate and respect that everyone has different viewpoints. The books are OUR property now, and we’re free to do with them as we want. I was bullied in elementary/middle school, but did I stop going to school? No. I went back, kept the friends I had, made more friends, got my education, and learned to enjoy it. I plan to do the same here. At the end of the day I have H/Hr told hold at my heart. Call me delusional, Emerson. I might be delusional, but YOU are a bully. You were mean and you know you were mean. Well, you got your Vietnam War victory. You may have won, but there are still dissidents out there. And WE’RE the winners, because we have what we love despite what anyone says about it. I agree..(Luna) I think? those “iddiot-bias-R/hr site” just twist Mrs. Rowlin g word. because I went to Mrs. Rowling offical site, she didn’t said anything about h/hr “dislusional” it just BS!! And I been re-read this book, and reading all of Mrs. Rowling interview. She always never had”direct” answer. Do people think? that she just shout what truth is, and destroyed her “secert” of her writing. Man, I wish I could “curse” I really can't tell if Faye -- oops, maybe it should be F*ye -- is ESL or not. (Reply to this)(Thread)

Hey. I was trying to stay away from HMS Harmony site, but the lure of stupid is too great for my resolve. Anyway, they reacted on the latest update of JKR site. Our lovely C*** was leading the parade: q>Yep, she's updated her website and completely ignored the situation that has arisen out of the fandom. She's frankly not worth the time.</q> Then rjade brings the issue of forged signed copied sold on e-bay, implying that JKR wanted to sell such copies herself - as later another poster said "Don't buy those things, buy my book, feed more money into me!" (I wonder if they ever considered that JKR signes books for free). Thereader instantly swears that he/she only reads pirated copies of the "utter garbage that was Harry Potter and the Half-Arsed Prince - which, I will hasten to add, I didn't pay for". And that's before you even get to the forums. http://teamvoldemort.com/board/ Lists, rants, and all sorts of garbage here that continues to poke at Ginny, HBP, and JK Rowling. Of course, the 14 founders swear that they don't hate JK, oh no. One sweep through this wasteland shows that they lie through their teeth. The only problem is that you can't take anything from the site without asking the founders (and there's no way they'd let anything be taken off their site if it goes against H/Hr). They claim they're a non-canon site, but on the forums it's clear that they're pretty much H/Hr and nothing much else, considering that they've got four mods for that section alone. P.S. I've never been a part of the STFU crew, but I've been keeping an eye on the ship since before SWMNBN got it knocked off LJ. I'd been neutral to the shipping wars, but at least I can accept canon. This is actually the second fandom where a couple I've supported either has become, or is going to be confirmed as canon, and what's been confirmed has been ragged upon so badly it's not funny. To begin with, he was physically attracted to her by his sixth year. HBP canon makes it clear that she’s a very pretty girl by then, and he’s a sixteen-year-old boy. However, there is another reason, and it’s much more important than the first. Without it, the relationship would not have happened. Quite simply, Harry was dosed with a love potion. However, it was very unlikely to have been given to him by either Ginny or Hermione. In fact, we’ll likely never know which person or persons literally gave Harry the potion in most instances, and it isn’t important (we’ll examine the two big exceptions to that rule, too.) Because once all of the evidence is added up, we clearly see that the hand behind it belonged to… (dramatic pause) Draco Malfoy. WTF!!! One of the posters, Bottlebrush insists that the thread is only for people who hate R/T, not for people who just hated how it was written in HBP (if that makes any sense ... which it probably doesn't). I know there are many pockets of WTF in the HP fandom, but this one (http://www.livejournal.com/users/_lore/207797.html)... hoo boy. I figure it would be appreciated here. First the author mentions "Lupin's obvious pining for Snape in HBP," then quotes the specific "obvious" passage - Lupin's "I must be grateful" speech. The author opines, "Might as well be a declaration. Basically, we lose Snape and gain a purple-headed undercover device, but remain, as a ship, unfazed." Uh, yeah, that's definitely how I declare my undying love for anyone. Do people actually READ the books? Why the hell does it matter SO MUCH for your ship to become canon? *headdesk* *headdesk* *headdesk* Poor Remus. :( At least I haven't seen any Snupin fics where Lupin kills Tonks for interfering with his "obvious" torrid relationship with a guy who hates him. So over at Miss_Celestine's LJ, MC posts an essay entitled "Harmonians and Defeat: Reasons and Forms of Denial".
