| Bio: | Ahh, time for a new profile, I think. Let's see. The basics, I suppose. My name is, of course, Shanzi. Yes, it's my real name, yes, my parents are insane, why do you ask? Speaking of which, I happen to be the lucky daughter of an English professor/poet/activist, and an herbalist/artist/handywoman-type. That might explain why I'm just a bit out there. Hmm, I think someone's living quarters say quite a bit about them, so get what you can out of this. When I look around, I see not clutter, but an absolute mess. Most of that mess is either notebooks full of writing, books, clothing, yarn, raw fiber or fabric. There's a sewing machine to my right, and a spinning wheel to my left. It's what I do. There's something soothing about the act of creation, and since I can't make babies every day (mind you, the practice might be nice... ~_^), this is my outlet. I love reading, as well. I, in fact, having bookcases just about everywhere, and they're still overflowing. When I was a kid, it was a pretty common thing for my parents to try to talk to me, only to realize I was so deep into a book that I didn't even notice they were there. That's become less of a problem, but there's still nothing like curling up with a good book and a cup of coffee. What else? Ah yes. I roleplay. Too much.
