| [Current] Ben's had one of the most frustrating days on the set that he's ever had on any set. It shows in the way he strides into the bar, his steps too long for his legs, his jaw clenched and his hands in fists (albeit loose ones). He lands too hard on the bar stool and immediately picks up a napkin, twisting it between his fingers for something to do while he waits for the bartender. ( ''Somethin' I can git for you?'' a voice asks in a deliberately overstated drawl, just over Ben's shoulder. ) | ||||||

| [July 20, 2011. Will be backdated.] [Takes place several days after Jason and Thomas sleep together. Sleep. Together. As in sleeping.] Not nearly as much time as passed this time before Thomas is going back to Citadel to see Jason. This time, when he steps up to the desk, he's not a mass of bravado and nonsense. He just checks in for his appointment and to pick up his card key. Actually smiling at the girl at the front desk, he takes the key and heads upstairs. ( He takes a deep breath before letting himself in. ) | ||||||

He'd asked for a room with only a bed and a couch (the ubiquitous cabinet of toys notwithstanding) but that's the only stipulation he'd made. ( He's not there when Jason arrives. ) | ||||||

| Thomas wants to call Jason. Thomas really wants to call Jason. He's called his folks for a round of "great, Thomas, and did you hear about our new bio fuel intiative" and he's left a message for Summer to call him back . . . but he's dying to call Jason. And he's afraid. He'd been thinking about it for a while, though, which is why the ringing of his phone--Call Me by Blondie--activates his startle response. He stares at the phone for a moment, then pounces. ( ''Hello!'' ) | ||||||

| [Occurs directly after Thomas runs to Jason after getting some bad news.] Thomas has been asleep about an hour, his head on a pillow in Jason's lap, when he finally blinks awake. He's immediately aware in that moment as he ever is. Aware of the heat of Jason's thigh nearby. ( He yawns as he shifts and rubs at his nose, a blush riding high on his cheeks. ) | ||||||

| Thomas will care later. He'll care that he threw his phone against the wall and broke it. He'll care that he put a hole in the wall. He may even care that his agent heard him throw it. But right now, he runs out of his house sans phone, grabbing his wallet and keys and jumping into his car. He's not really aware he's headed to Citadel until he's halfway there. He's not fucking sexy enough!? For a role on the fucking Family Channel!? ( What the fuck!? ) | ||||||

| [June 23, 2011. Will be backdated. Crossposted to dex.] It's a couple of busy days for Jason in a row before he gets a chance to try calling Thomas. He doesn't even know if he'll be there, but most people have voice mail these days. Thomas is breathless when he answers, the phone having dragged him from a deep sleep. "Yeah?" "Hey... Thomas, it's Jason. You busy?" he asks. "I didn't know when a good time would be to call." "No, no I'm not busy," Thomas says, sitting up immediately and lighting a cigarette. It's Jason. ( If he doesn't have something to do with his hands he'll end up embarrassing himself. ) | ||||||

He's humming to himself as he bustles around, chopping up some fruit and cheese. And then there's a knock on the door. He considers not answering it. In fact, he's pretty well dead set on not answering it when that person knocks again. He sighs and heads to the door, opens it, and says, ( ''Uh. Hi, Jason.'' ) | ||||||

| [Current] Jason. Just the sight of him stirs up all kinds of feelings in Thomas. And there he is, across the pool from him when he surfaces from his dive. Still, he finds himself smiling, and he doesn't even try to wipe it away. Lifting a hand out of the water, he waves subtly, just in case Jason isn't looking at him. He doesn't want to look foolish. Jason hadn't noticed him yet, actually, but the motion in his peripheral vision catches his attention, and he turns enough that he can see Thomas. And he smiles. A wave of his own, and he swims over to see him. His heart is pounding and his head is spinning, and he's very glad that he's in water he can stand up in, because honest to God, he gets too fucking shivery when Jason is around. Thomas shoves the thoughts away and manages not to sound like an idiot when Jason finally reaches him. "Hey." ( Well, not a complete idiot anyway. ) | ||||||

You have an appointment," she singsongs. "I'm not doing Bob again," Jason says flat out. "No way. Remember the rash I got from the eggs? Never again." "Not Bob. You might wish it was, though." "Not likely," Jason mutters. "Gimme." Handing over the appointment file she sits back to wait. She's expecting another refusal, to be quite frank. ( Notes have been made. ) | ||||||
