1. Have you ever received a fanart/fanfic of your own work that made you ask yourself, "OH GOD JEEZ WHY WOULD YOU SEND ME THAT THAT'S JUST EMBARRASSING FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED" and/or what was the worst fanwork you've ever received of your own stuff?
Not really! I've received the odd bit of fanart that's kind of awkward in an 'I kind of see what you are trying to show but it didn't really work' way, and sometimes the expressions will be unintentionally hilarious due to lack of skill, but so far nothing that's really made me cringe.
2. What artist do you hate for NO RATIONAL REASON AT ALL just their artwork oh god >:(
Whoever started that whole ~*EXTREMELY MOE*~ thing. AAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUGHHH!!!!!
Also, Jhonen Vasquez.
3. What do you dislike most about your own art?
How... claustrophobic and figure-centric it is. I need to get into the habit of doing backgrounds more often, and breaking out of a certain set of compositions that I keep using.
4. If you plan on being a pro when you get out of school: What do you think will be the most soul-crushing thing about being a pro artist? If not: What do you think will be the most soul-crushing thing about going to art school and then not being a pro artist?
I do plan on being a pro after school! Currently the part I'm most afraid of is having to market myself to potential employers/clients... I'm terrible at that sort of thing, I can't even write a cover letter for my resume. I keep getting to the stage of opening a new email tab, typing in the address I spent hours searching for, and then giving up in shame.
5. And last, the question that is not soul-crushing: If you could tranform into any animal, but the animal has to be a bug, what would it be?
Uhh uhhhhhhh uh ummmm... One of these, I think. I've always been fond of dragonflies... |
