Intervention 2.0.
[Hayden Panettiere, Milo Ventimiglia, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Adrian Pasdar, Sean Maher, Morena Baccarin, David Beckham.]

[Takes place a couple days after Adrian and Hayden argue, which leads to Hayden calling Sean Maher, and follows up the same day that Hayden goes to Milo's apartment.]
Sendhil wanders down the stairs, dressed only in his bathrobe, and carrying Ilsa. When he sees Hayden and Milo, he yelps. "Hair!"
Hayden jumps. Okay, she's expecting people to be surprised, but not quite the jumping, shock and horror. "Well, that's better than Milo. He just called me short."
"I called your hair short," Milo protests.
"Oh, darlings." Sendhil shakes his head, then approaches to give them both a kiss. "You haven't been home. I've missed you at dinner."
"I'm sorry," Hayden says, rubbing her cheek against his fluffy bathrobe. "I just needed some quiet. Work stress, over scheduling myself, blah blah blah. Munchkin and I holed up in my apartment and watched girly movies."
"I'm good at watching girly movies," Sendhil says with a little pout.
"You're wonderful at it, but you've been busy lately, and I wasn't about to take you away from that," Hayden teases. "Anyway, I'm here now." Unless things don't work out with Adrian, in which case things will get very different, very quickly. But she really doesn't want to think about that.
"Adrian's on the phone with his sister. Why don't we go snuggle up on the couch and play catch-up?" Sendhil suggests. He leads the way to the couch in the living room, carrying himself like the princess he is.
"Good idea," Hayden says, settling in on the couch beside him, making sure Sendhil's in the middle, and that there's room on the other side for Milo. "So apart from the scream of horror, any comment on the hair?"
Sendhil looks at her. "It's so short."
Milo, meanwhile, snuggles up against Sendhil's side, an arm around his shoulders over the back of the couch, fingertips lightly playing over the back of Sendhil's neck.
"We had to deal with the loss of your hair last year--and Milo's. It was my turn," Hayden decides, resting against Sendhil's shoulder.
"Adrian is going to cry when he sees--Milo!"
Milo laughs and pulls away, wide-eyed and innocent. "Yes, Sendhil?"
"I cannot concentrate with your tongue in my ear."
"No?"
"No. Behave."
"Nuh." Milo rests his head on Sendhil's shoulder. Sendhil smells good.
"Milo? Behave? Not much chance of that," Hayden teases. Yes, she'd thought of Adrian's reaction.
"Holy shit."
Right on cue. Sendhil looks up. "Hayden cut her hair, Adrian."
"Jesus Christ." Adrian stares.
"Doesn't she look pretty, Adrian?" Sendhil prompts.
"Holy mother of god."
"I'm gonna take that as a no," Hayden says, without lifting her head from Sendhil's shoulder.
"You cut off your hair!" Adrian cries in dismay. "All of it! It's gone!"
The doorbell rings.
Adrian keeps staring.
"Adrian?" says Sendhil. "There's someone at the door."
Adrian stares.
"Adrian," Hayden says softly. "The door." She points, for emphasis.
He blinks a few times, then turns away to answer the door. "Oh," he says, by way of greeting, blinking in confusion at Sean, Morena, and David.
David thrusts his hand between Sean and Morena's shoulders, holding it out. "Adrian," he says.
"David," Adrian replies, shaking his hand. "Morena. Sean. Uh." He points at the large dish that Sean's holding.
"It's David's pineapple delight," Sean explains. "We thought we'd bring dessert."
Adrian blinks. "Why?"
"David, why don't you go see if you can find Sendhil," Morena suggests, not answering Adrian's question, even though she's got a warm and friendly smile on her face.
"Sure," says David, slipping past Adrian and into the house.
"Uh," says Adrian, stepping inside. "Why don't you come in?"
"Sure," Sean says, coolly, coming inside with Morena.
"Why don't we take that into the kitchen," Morena suggests, leading the way there.
"Sounds like a good idea," says Sean, following her.
Adrian follows along behind, confused.
