D:
My laptop's AC adapter is kapoot, and the new one does not even ship until next week (because my computer is ancient and hoary and therefore it was harder to find a place that even sold replacements). I can still use the school computers, of course, but it is very unhappy-making nonetheless. I will have to use a computer lab to frolic in the Potterdämmerung! Damnit.

On the plus side, I have been using the time to renew my affection for a number of books I haven't read in a while. I'd forgotten how much I both love and fear The Name of the Rose, which I maintain has some of the most terrifying imagery ever. Kids these days, we think we're so special, but when it comes to Shit That Ain't RIGHT in the imagery department, the medieval period still has our ass completely beat.

Also, is it wrong that I'm finding I kind of like some of the EU Star Wars stuff? (I happened to borrow a couple of books from a friend, including some of the comic books, and the latter in particular are delighting the everlovin' out of me.) I just . . . I really like the Old Republic stuff! And I never even bothered to see the third prequel!

Yes. Oh Thrawn. <3 "Heir to the Empire" is first, I believe.
