Thomas takes a sip of beer as Wentworth sings along with the radio. The young man makes dinner, easily moving around the kitten headed towards full-grown twining around his feet.
Turning, Thomas watches Worth and smiles. "Hey baby, what ya cooking?"
"Chicken and rice," Worth responds, taking a sip of the glass of wine he had set out.
Thomas makes a face. "Why don't you fry the chicken, whip up some gravy for the rice and call that dinner?"
"Because we're watching how we eat, remember?"
"It sucks," Thomas grumbles and then finishes the beer. He watches Worth for a minute or two, noticing Bob sitting and delicately cleaning her paw. Slowly Thomas slides off of the chair and begins to crawl toward his boy.
It takes Worth a moment to notice what Thomas is doing and he raises an eyebrow. "Hello?" he says, laughing softly.
Tilting his head up, Thomas gives Worth a smile and then crawls to his legs. Nudging and bumping them with his head and shoulder, he turns and opens his mouth, biting Worth's calf with just enough pressure to hold on.
"Ow," Worth laughs, swatting at Thomas as he bites. "Kitty dog?" he questions. He looks down at his lover and sir, though he keeps one eye on their food.
"Lion," Thomas says and growls out a lion's roar. Bob perks her ears; tail beginning to flip back and forth.
"You stay out of it," Worth points at the cat that Thomas insists on calling Bob with a chuckle. "Lion hmm?" he asks Thomas. "Does that make me a lamb or a Christian?" He smirks.
"Always been my lamb," Thomas says and makes another lion's roar as Bob hisses and skitters from the room.
"So are you going to maul me?" Worth purrs, stroking Thomas' hair.
"Thinking about it," he says and grunts, sitting up. "Shit, that's hard on your knees."
"Not on my knees," Worth sniggers, helping Thomas up and grinning.
"You're used to it, and younger," Thomas grabs Worth, wrapping him in an embrace and then looking at him. "You still happy with us?"
"You can ask every day but the answer hasn't changed," Worth says with a gentle smile, leaning against Thomas.
"Just making sure," Thomas says and then bites Worth's shoulder. "So, about that fried chicken...." |
