On where I should post this? Craigslist, maybe?

I need to get a puppy from Rhode Island to Fresno, CA.

It's too hot for her to fly as cargo. I wouldn't want her flying as cargo anyway.

I can't get away and neither can the person who is getting the dog.

Is anyone making an east to west coast trip or vice versa who can bring an 8 week old 5 or so pound Shiba puppy as carry on baggage? She's really cute, but can be a handful. She might cry and be annoying. Cuddle her and she'll stop.

If you actually know me, and you live on the West Coast, you can stay at my house. Or if you've got friends in Boston you're itching to visit, you can fly there instead of Providence.

Obviously, your flight and the puppy's flight will be paid for. Everything else is on you.

So, where should I post this?

Anywhere besides Craigslist? Or will that get too many sketchy people?

Anyone who wants to post this to their journal can.

Time frame is between July 10th and the 30th. Much later after the 30th and she won't fit under the seat too comfortably.

So I'm on puppy watch and I can't go anywhere, right?

So what am I doing? I'm cleaning and watching season one of NCIS.

NCIS season one was so damned slashy - how did I forget that? And Gibbs smiled a lot more in season one.

Yeah, it was a Chris Larabee kind of smile (see icon) all kind of shark (or if you prefer, wolf)ish and a little scary. But hot.

I thought about rewatching either Torchwood or Who but I don't feel like yelling at the TV and scaring the poor dog who is about to pop.

Her litter brother is the one who died and until HCM is definitively ruled out, I'm going to be freaked about her health - though HCM usually presents in males.

The first thought when an adolescent male drops dead with no warning (like when a high-school athlete drops dead on the field) is HCM.)

HCM has never been reported in Shibas before and he died a day and a half after surgery, when the more common death from HCM is during surgery.

I have to change my screensaver -- I use mypictures as my screen saver and I feel like bawling every damn time his smiling face comes up on the screen.

The vet who did the autopsy said there was damage to his ventricle that was *not* consistant with HCM but I'm still freaked.

She said she's 90% sure it wasn't but we won't know for sure until the necropsy report comes back. And why would HCM be so bad? It's genetic. Which means spaying and neutering any dog in the line and getting echocardiagrams on all of them. Oh, and others could drop dead at any minute.

But I keep telling myself, HCM has never been reported in Shibas. The vet is 90% sure it isn't HCM. The rest of the dogs are fine - healthy as healthy can be - vet is pretty sure it was a blood clot or a toxin (most likely plant.)

Yeah, but so was he until he dropped dead.

OK, back to NCIS and Tony acting like a complete moron. I need a distraction!

I hate thinking of titles for journal entries.

I'm starting another job, but it's only 1 day a week and only 75 bucks minus whatever I spend on gas, which I figure will be @25. That's another 200 a month, though, so that will help.

I used to spend 200 bucks a day on stupid shit (like parking and coffee and lunch and drinks after work) -- which is probably a lot of the reason why I am so fucking poor now.

My teeth are rotting out of my head (2 of them that have broken fillings,) I have a torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder and repetitive stress injuries to both wrists that are very painful and I can't afford a doctor or dentist.

Crap - this post was not meant to be a whining post! How the hell did that happen?

Taizo (my baby!) is now in his forever home - and is now nutless. I miss him.
Kiko and Kat are both carrying passengers. May 12ish and 20ish, respectively.
I'm almost finished rewriting my DW/TW fic - cause it wasn't all that great.

Oops - I have one hour to shower, dress and drive across town. I better stop fucking around then, huh?

Part two. there will be three parts, four at the most. Only place I'm posting these are my journal 'cause they need a lot of work. And a title. And some sexin!

OK, so I had a story idea for a post Exit Wounds story and I've actually written the first part of it!

Whoo-hoo!

Ianto is a little Emo in it, but Ianto's Emo anyway.

Now, do I polish and post or do I write the last two parts?

I get so effing pissed off with this fandom because NO ONE EVER POSTS COMPLETED STORIES!

And yes, I meant to shout.

My biggest problem with writing this story, I think, is that this part (and probably the next one) are Ianto POV and I don't think I have the voices quite right.

BUt I'm not Welsh so I don't know if I'll ever get the voice exactly right,.

I'd probabably be better off writing from Jack's POV since I can get his cadence and speech patterns pretty accurate. But I can't with this story because it has to be written in Ianto POV.

So, polish and post or finish it off? I want to post the entire thing, completed, by tomorrow night right after the Torchwood finale in BBC America.

NOt giving myself too stiff a deadline, there, am I?

And that is the very first thing I've written in a long, long, long time!

I listen to music about 3-4 hours a day (while I'm working in my car.) I don't have any special equipment - regular radio (no cd player) in my 8 year old truck.

Luckily, I have tweo kick ass radio stations and one decent one to listen to. One of the things I hated about different parts of the country I've lived in is their shitty radio.

We have WBRU which is the Brown University station - which I've listened to for going on 35 years now. I love that station. It's the absolute best station - EVER - and yes, you can stream it.

I also listen to WHJY and WAAF - out of Providence and Boston, respectively. They are both rock/modern alternative stations. BRU is more modern rock and these two are more rock, rock. All three together give me a pretty good selection so that I don't need anything more than my old fashioned radio.

It's kind of funny to see my flist getting into music that I've been listening to for years. I had no idea everyone else didn't listen to my awesome stations.

What am I listening to now? Linkin Park Given Up - my new anthem. Yes, I am a bit of a Head Banger, why do you ask. Also on my favorites list right now... Puddle Of Mudd, Schizophrenic Psycho. Biffy Clyro is fast becoming one of my faves as well.

I really like the "week in the life" idea that I'm seeing popping up on journals everywhere. I'm afraid mine are all going to be dog pictures (and pictures in the dark because I work in the middle of the night.) With the price of gas and me having no money, I'm not exactly going anywhere these days, either.
