I just opened a kit-kat bar that had absolutely no Crisp Wafers embedded in its chocolate! Rip off!

...In other news, am I allowed to attribute my complete lack of wordcount since Sunday to solidarity with the WGA writers' strike?

(But I'm almost half-done tagging my mp3 collection on this computer.)

ETA: OMG DENNY AND ALAN, HOW I HAVE MISSED YOU.

SEND OUT THE PARTY EMAIL!!

and you can attribute it to whatever you like. I hear that the constellation of the homeostatic landbound mammal is in recession this week. It could be that too.

Why does that sound like it's some kinde of menstruation metaphor?

Mind you, I could *totally* blame it on that, too. :P

piffle. i was on my homeostatic landbound mammal for the first week of this. You got me to write. My cats and I are shut into my room right now. Aunt's having a party for those people who don't know how doors work. So I get to camp out in the MIASMA of Visas' latest offering until they go home and I can clean it.

*is still writing.*

yessss.... still... write! you can do it! *cheers!!*

Writers' solidarity, yes! That's my excuse for not doing Nano in the first place not doing any sort of writing. My selfish fannish self does hope it doesn't drag on- I'm afraid Dancing with the Stars is going to have to be stopped without writers, and the creator/producer of Desperate Housewives has already said the last episode they have shot and ready to air ends on a massive cliffhanger that may not see resolution. They have a script for the episode afterwards, but since script changes and re-writes are often done during the filming of scenes, no writers means no shooting.

Honestly? My fannish self hasn't been caught up on any of her shows since the new season started, likes getting to bed before midnight on weekdays, and is kind of selfishly hoping it drags on long enough that she can get caught up on both sleep and TV. (...I would totally donate money to the WGA if that would keep them from making any new canon for awhile.)

Yes, I can see how this would be handy. *g* I myself cannot ever miss any of my shows, and am glad I only follow Desperate Housewives and DWTS, or else I'd find myself in the same boat as you.

Hey, what was that song Ellen (S) didn't want played at her wedding? I want to find it for party (I think) but I CAN'T REMEMBER IT WAH.

The one we remember is Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-a-lot.

There was another one (I think we managed to hit 2/3 on her list, and the one we *didn't* hit was Achy Breaky Heart, but none of us can remember what the last one was.)

That it! I dunno if it's a good party song or not - haha - but it's def. the one I was thinking of. d-: (She also had Chicken Dance and Electric Slide on there, I think.)

How's the woodcutting party?

(Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Sarah declared it a "lumber party".

The wood-cutting part is done! Bowie blazed through the whole tree in less than three hours. :D There are very few people here, though. We're now at the sit-around-and-avoid-NaNo stage, and will probably be doing that until Kevin gets off work.

Sarah was too scared to get the chainsaw started, though. :D I laughed.

Bowie is now talking about how American civilization is circling the drain.

food, mixed drinks, and games for party: brainstorming: GO.

I concur with Bowie. Except we just elected a bunch of SANE people here in LoCo.

(ICON YAY! Bings is upset on Casey's behalf though. MEW MEW MEW PICK ME UP NOW she says.)

Virginia voted in sane people? I don't beleive it.

And Casey was *so* sick of being poked at by the time that picture was taken. :D

Yep, the state senate and house both picked up lots of democrats, and the county board of supervisors is now almost ALL slow-growth people. yay!
